For They Are Mine — Esteban Guti

I started reading John 17, and as I read, I sensed the Holy Spirit telling me: this is a song. So I began to write it, taking the verses I felt were right.

Then I set it to a simple chord progression: A minor – C – E minor – G.

For They Are Mine

O Father
glorify thou me
with thine own self
with the glory
which I had with thee

the world

I pray for them
I pray not for the world
but for them
which thou hast given me
for they are thine

and all mine are thine

Empecé a leer Juan 17 y, mientras leía, sentí que el Espíritu Santo me decía: esto es una canción. Así que empecé a escribirla, tomando los versículos que sentí que eran los correctos.

Luego le puse una progresión de acordes sencilla: La menor – Do – Mi menor – Sol.
