The Insatiable Ones Los Insaciables
Sunk in the mire
my back on fire
I wake from hunger
and the insatiable ones
pull the rope tight
around my neck
Dragging chains
and torn pockets
my life drains away, my time, my gold
like a slave in my own house
unpaid notices
broken clocks
stolen savings
orphans abandoned
but it galls you
you cannot
defeat me
this is my moment
so listen close
music is freedom
and where is it?
your oppression
where is it?
your sting
you will not
defeat me
no, no, no, no, no, no, no!
music is freedom.
what a disgrace,
the idler earns more than the one who works
no bread at home, feeding the neighbor
the people in chains, they feel the weight
but the insatiable ones do not care
Hundido en el fango
la espalda en fuego
despierto del hambre
y los insaciables
aprietan la soga
rodeando mi cuello
Arrastrando cadenas
y bolsillos rotos
se escurre mi vida, mi tiempo, mi oro
como un esclavo en mi propia casa
avisos de impago
relojes quebrados
ahorros robados
huérfanos abandonados
pero te sabe mal
no me puedes
derrotar
este es mi momento
y atento
la música es libertad
¿y dónde está?
tu opresión
¿dónde está?
tu aguijón
no me podrás
derrotar
no, no, no, no, no, no, no!
la música es libertad.
qué desgracia,
gana más el vago que el que trabaja
sin pan en casa alimentando al vecino
el pueblo en cadenas, sienten el peso
pero a los insaciables no les importa eso
