The Rock

You are my rock and my strong tower
You wash away my tears
with your embrace
You are my hope

You are my breath
on difficult days
My love and my faith
on days of rest

My companion through life
My Father, my guide
My hope and
My banner

My shield and
Prince of Peace
My mighty rock
The one who lifts my head

My God in whom I will trust
Alpha and Omega
Beginning and End
The Word, the Light

The way and the truth
The one who heals
The one who saves
The one who justifies

The one who embraces
The one who loves
The one who forgives
The great I AM

Bread of life
Rivers of living water
The true Light
The Word of God

There is no other
There is none
whose blood redeems
whose sacrifice sets us free

By love we live
Through ignorance we die
He came into the world and
we knew him not

But in this he
loved us first
that before we were even born
he died for us

He so loved us
that he gave his only begotten Son
that whosoever believeth
in him should have everlasting life

Just as Moses lifted up
the serpent
so the Son of man was
lifted up

The light came into the world
but men loved darkness
rather than light
because their deeds were evil

Everyone who does evil
hates the light
and does not come to the light
lest his deeds
be brought into the open

Alfa y Omega
Principio y Fin
El Verbo, La Luz

El camino y la verdad
El que sana
El que salva
El que justifica

El que abraza
El que ama
El que perdona
El gran yo soy

Pan de vida
Ríos de agua viva
Luz verdadera
La Palabra de Dios

No existe otro
No hay ninguno
Cuya sangre redime
Cuyo sacrificio exime

Por amor vivimos
Por ignorancia morimos
Al mundo vino y
no le conocimos

Mas en esto nos
amó primero
que aún antes de nacer
él murió por nosotros

Nos amó de tal manera
que dio a su Hijo unigénito
para que todo aquel que
cree en él tenga vida eterna

Así como Moisés levantó
a la serpiente
así el Hijo del Hombre fue
levantado

La luz vino al mundo
Pero los hombres amaron más
a las tinieblas
pues sus obras eran malas

Todo aquel que hace lo malo
detesta la luz
y no viene a la luz
para que sus obras no sean
puestas al descubierto
